What was the condition put forth by the new vicar to the verger?

The condition set down before the Verger by the vicar and the two church wardens was  that the Verger should learn letters within three months. Neglecting to do as such, he  would loose his job in the church as they don't want to give such a respectful post like  Verger to anyone who is illiterate.

Briefly describe the verger's attitude towards his gowns.

The Verger regarded his gowns as a dignified representation of his position and was very  fond of them. He never gave away his old gowns; rather, he kept them in the wardrobe's  bottom drawer. covered with brown paper. He had a number of such old gowns, in a  complete series.

How did the manager react upon his discovery that Mr Foreman could neither read  nor write?

The manager reacted in a positive way when he discovered Mr Foreman could neither  read nor write. Rather than being disheartened or neglecting him, the manager proposed  a way to help Mr. Foreman learn reading and writing. He also supported and encouraged  him.

Briefly describe the career of Albert Edward.

Albert Edward Foreman, The Verger, was a straightforward and committed nature man.  He loyally maintained his duties as the Verger of St. Peter's church for long sixteen years,  tirelessly dealing with every one of the manual undertakings. He invested heavily in his  work, and there were no bad things to say about his work until the new vicar found that  he couldn't read or write. Regardless of the vicar's demand that either to learn reading or  writing or leave the job, the Verger, being an independent man, decided to keep up with  his nobility and rejected the proposal. Instead, he chose to resign, accepting that it is  already late for him to learn anything.

However, Foreman did not stop here, he left on another endeavor and opened a tobacco  shop, which ended up finding lasting success. Indeed, even the banker was astonished  by his abilities despite being illiterate. Within a few years he was able to own ten shops,  displaying his flexibility and versatility in defeating difficulties. Regardless of his monetary  achievement, the Verger stayed unassuming and happy with a straightforward life. He  perceived that being uneducated didn't obstruct his capacity to satisfy his obligations.

Albert Edward Foreman's reasonable thinking, devotion, and strong hard working attitude  were key factors that added to his prosperity. These characteristics were deficient in the  new vicar, featuring the distinct difference between their ways to deal with life and work.  The Verger's insight was not received from academic knowledge however from sharp  perception and experience acquired from his communications with the world.

Describe, in detail, how Albert Edward lost the job of the verger at St Peter's.

Albert Edward lost the job of the verger at St Peter's Church because of the new vicar's  disclosure of Albert Edward's illiteracy. One fine day the new Vicar called the Verger in  the vestry, there he revealed his illiteracy. However, Albert Edward Foreman was giving  his level best to fulfil his duties towards the Church, but the new Vicar showed his  disagreement of giving the job to a Verger of the well known Church like St. Peters to  someone who neither knew to read or write. Thus Albert was given three months time  either to learn how to read or write or else to leave the job. The Verger did not accept the  decision of the new Vicar instead he chose the second option. He did not like the new  Vicar, since he joined. The Verger used to miss the old Vicar who was more friendly and  he didn't use to interfere in everything. Thus, this was how the Verger, Albert Edward  Foreman lost the job of the St. Peter’s Church .

Would you consider that the new vicar's chance discovery of Foreman's illiteracy  was a blessing in disguise for the verger? Write a persuasive answer.

Yes, the new vicar's chance discovery of Foreman's illiteracy can be considered a  blessing in disguise for the verger. While at first instance it prompted to loss his job, but  it ultimately brought happiness in the life of the Verger.

After leaving his job as the verger, Albert Edward took a wrong path and he searched for  a Gold Flake for him. But, surprisingly, he was unable to find out a shop in the whole road.  This provoked him to start a new business of his own tobacco shop and newsagent  business the following day. This adventure ended up finding lasting success, prompting  Albert Edward turning into a rich man with a significant fortune.

It must be said that if the new vicar had not found Albert Edward's illiteracy and ordered  him to learn how to read or write within three months, Albert Edward might not leave his  job as a verger without thinking for other works.. His illiteracy, which appeared to be a  limit at that point, really pushed him to wander into the business world, where he  flourished and achieved financial success what he might have only imagined.

Albert Edward's story set an example for those who failed in life and become demotived.  His story said how difficulties and surprising disclosures can in some cases lead to new opportunities and growth. By embracing what is going on and adjusting to the conditions,  Albert Edward had the option to defeat the difficulties and make progress in an alternate  way. Thus, the chance discovery of his illiteracy by the new vicar can indeed be seen as  a blessing in disguise for the verger.
