Comment on the significance of the ending of the story.

The story starts with the narrator coming from a train at the station. He then meets with  his chauffeur and drives his new vehicle home and meets with a mishap in which he dies.  The significance of the ending of the story is that the way that our narrator is dead isn't  revealed to us till the ending of the story and we are continued to figure the discussions  between him and Stanley too seem especially a piece of this aspect and just a lot later  do we understand that both the narrator and the Perkins is dead and this comes as  somewhat of a shock since we follow his journey from the train station when he was alive  till this moment of his death. Therefore, here lies the significance of the story.

Describe the drive undertaken by the narrator from the station to his home.

The narrator drove the car till they arrived at Claystall Hill. The narrator says that the  Claystall Hill as one of the most terrible hill in England. It was a mile and a half long and  one of every six in places, with three genuinely sharp bends. They had just arrived at  the brow of the hill when the difficulty began as the grade was steepest there. The narrator  was driving at the top speed and when he needed to switch gears, the gears got stuck  and didn't move. The man managed to keep the car on the road for the initial two turns  yet found it challenging to control the third. His home was at the lower part of the third  bend on the main London Road. He crashed onto the gate of his house and afterward he  flew out of the car. This was the moment he died and it was caused by this drive that he  had undertaken from the station few moments ago.
